2 Day Installation

In short, we CAN do 1 day floors. We have the technology, we just prefer another way. The reason is simple. As with all reputable installers, we take great care to prepare the concrete for the installation of the new coatings. We do this in order to create porosity in the surface, thus providing pathways for the primer coat to “soak in”. From there, we have 2 choices. 1, apply a fast dry coating that will allow us to get 2 coats down in 1 day. Or, 2, apply a slower drying primer (Epoxy) that will work its way deep into the pores of the concrete as it dries. We prefer option 2. 1 day floors may be convenient, but we do not believe it gives you the best possible floor. “Laying it on thick since 2006” is more than a slogan, it is our time tested way to ensure that you are getting a durable floor that you can count on. You will see advertising that demonizes epoxy and touts the advantages of other coatings, but we believe much of that to be overstated. And keep in mind, yes, we prefer epoxy for the primer for the reasons stated above, but we do use a high quality Polyaspartic topcoat (most everyone does) in order to round out our durable system. We are confident in our method due to years of applications. We realize there is quite a bit of conflicting information out there, so please feel free to ask questions as you approach your final decision. With 40 years of experience, we welcome the debate:)

“ I have been in the epoxy business, both selling it (Sherwin Williams) and applying it, since 1984. I have never, never, been handed a specification for a airplane hangar, warehouse, or other high traffic application that called for a 1 Day system. There is a reason for that. Why should a garage be different? 1 Day floors are convenient for the installer, but does not provide you with the best possible outcome.”
